Unique 16th century building in the historical village of Salvatierra de Santiago.
The mansion served as a hostel on the route to Santiago de Compostela and has documented an overnight stay of the emperor Carlos V.
Of course there were some alterations and renovations in the 500 years of its existence but the house appears still very original with wonderful details as window surrounds etc. A new roof construction keeps the house safe and sound.
Attached to the house is a plot of land of approx 1.000m2 walled in with a 2m high stone wall. On the land are some outbuildings (rather ruinous) and a fresh water well. Since the property is within the village there is no problem to extend the house or build independently on the adjoining land.
